The joint allocation of a laboratory in CEMINEM 1, shared with the MECANOS Group, is a milestone that deepens collaboration between the business and academic sides of the project. This shared space becomes a direct bridge between Dual Cycle and one of the key research groups in our nanotechnology development. Having lab facilities inside the incubator greatly simplifies day‑to‑day R&D. Physical proximity translates into more interaction, more testing, and more ideas.

In this lab we will be able to work in a coordinated way on preparing, testing, and improving advanced materials for CO₂ capture, as well as integrating them into adsorption system prototypes. Combining MECANOS’s expertise in membranes and catalysts with our product and market perspective creates a very powerful innovation space. Many of the efficiency and performance improvements in our technology will be conceived and refined here. It is, in many ways, the “workshop” where collaboration becomes tangible.

This lab in CEMINEM 1 also reinforces the image of heliCO2farm as a startup deeply embedded in UNIZAR’s innovation infrastructure. We are present in both CEMINEM 2 and CEMINEM 1, and connected with multiple campuses and research groups. This capillarity lets us move quickly between basic science, experimental development, and pre‑industrial validation. It is a clear advantage compared with more isolated projects.

This milestone is also a bet on continuity: collaboration with MECANOS is not just a one‑off, but is being translated into shared spaces, contracts, and mid‑term projects.
