Acceptance as an entrepreneurial team hosted at CEMINEM 2 (UNIZAR)

Another key milestone: the acceptance of our team as an entrepreneurial project hosted at CEMINEM 2, the University of Zaragoza’s incubator at the Río Ebro Campus. Being part of this ecosystem places us in a privileged environment where science, technology, and entrepreneurship coexist. It is not just a physical space, but a context that fosters idea generation and cross‑disciplinary collaboration. For a climate Deep Tech startup like heliCO2farm, this environment is especially valuable.

Being based at CEMINEM 2 allows us to be close to leading research groups, labs, and university services that are essential for such an R&D‑intensive project. Proximity to researchers in chemistry, biotechnology, materials, and engineering facilitates ongoing interaction and co‑creation of innovative solutions. In addition, the UNIZAR label strengthens our credibility with industrial partners and potential investors. This combination of talent and relational capital is one of the company’s key assets.

From our base in CEMINEM 2, we can more efficiently coordinate the R&D contracts already signed with different University of Zaragoza groups, as well as the management of the first experimental habitat. The incubator acts as a nerve center where technological strategy, business development, and project management come together. This alignment fits our understanding of innovation: applied science with a clear orientation to the global carbon removal credits market from day one.

This milestone also deepens our connection with the university’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, opening doors to joint initiatives, acceleration programs, and internationalization opportunities. CEMINEM becomes the headquarters from which we will continue to scale heliCO2farm in the coming years. We will soon share more news about new spaces, equipment, and collaborations that will build on this foundation.
